Draw nearer and nuzzle my stringed nerves
Please don’t leave now
It’s so hard to be simple
I don’t care if you’re wobbling along
The stranger saw the steam swim away from the tears in my vision
I don’t know if his blood curdled but the waters of my conceived emptiness just broke
And all the while he was looking from behind as his steps ricocheted in adjacent cadence.
There’s nothing to remember now
Only these cobbles under our feet are privy to our secret
But even they can retreat
They can spill us yonder to sinister terrains
The future can betray us.
There’s even no shelter here
Let’s just act like the suspicion in these very walls are less conspicuous
Don’t go anywhere till the last supper is foraged.
