In the nation of Orphans
The fiscal strength is cringing
Human lives are fading
Hunger is whipping
Sorrow is ruling
Executives are smiling
Unfazed by the sad reality
Caring only about pregnant Ghana-must-go
Legislooters are chilling
Moved only by vain renovation
Driven by disastrous bills
Bills meant to gag already terrorized body politic
Interpreters are losing independence
Jolted in their very chambers
Justice is a three-way traffic they say
Now, it is one-way
Going clearly to the highest bidders
Alas! the great pandemic is here
Not the flu-induced one
But the mentally-draining pandemic
The body politic is getting drained
Melancholy now rule their mental faculty
Hope is becoming a very scarce commodity
Even with all these worry
The men in black and blue
Expected to at least watch over our existence have now become sons of anarchy
Drawing blood at every opportunity
Youths inhibit great energy
But channels it into the wrong direction
As unemployment hooks their neck
Should this be surprising?
An idle hand is the devil’s workshop
An idle mind is a safe haven for obscurity
Who will save us from this imminent apocalypse?
Who will be the messiah?
Who will lead us to EDEN?
Time is running out
This nation of orphans must find the panacea soonest!
Is enough not enough?
