THE MESSENGER ANTHOLOGY: BROKEN

THE MESSENGER ANTHOLOGY: BROKEN

Let it not be said that I missed your presence

Let it not be said that I’m an island of regrets

Let it not be said that I drowned in the pool of revenge

Biding my time for the right moment to eclipse your inhibition

Let it not be said that I never gave my all to fulfil our mutual dreams

There was a time I admired your bashfulness

There was a time I wondered how scarce a jewel you are

Then was the time when amor was close by

My desire for amor was dealt a deathly blow

Yet the feeling of hope flows in my veins

Let it be said that I write this way to fit the measure

Let it be said that I sacrificed my freedom and pleasure

To fit into your slippery desire

Let it be said that I rhyme to get to my prime

In doing so…I believe I will get a dime’s worth of my time

PUBLIUS CRASSUS (JIA)
