THE UNNAMED ONES

THE UNNAMED ONES

To the unnamed ones

Whose story ended before it began

A moment of pain or passion that burned

That decision to never be yours to make

Painlessly put away like it never mattered

Forcefully ejected like an unrepentant debtor

With bones shattered, to the bin it was sent

And dreams intact to the Maker returned

To the unnamed ones

An object of debate in today’s politics

On why you should or should not be kept

Marshalling their points, their votes it’ll earn

This limelight of theirs never was yours

All you wanted, was a chance to just be

I guess that too was a risk too much for them

To the unnamed ones

Whose warm life trickled down by a mishap of fate

A woman screams in agony as life ebbs slowly away

Watching our Hopes packed up in a box

Leaving our hearts torn & Bleeding

The unsung hero, its tale none recounts

To the Unnamed ones

Our tiny fireflies who got lost in darkness

Leaving too soon before their arrival

For many a reason your bright light was dimmed

Though your face is a blur, your smile is evermore

To the Unnamed ones whose tomorrow died yesterday

Our tiny sunbirds from far far away

We think of you again, tiny stars in the universe

Forever in our hearts, A beautiful burden prodding along

Your tale is not forgotten, your song echoes/shouts silently
