TRIBUTE TO MICHAEL JACKSON – LEGACY

TRIBUTE TO MICHAEL JACKSON – LEGACY

What can you say of a man whose life was to the world a marvel without blemish? Whose gift made the world feel like God was partial, whose beauty was unrivalled and his words soft as the wind. Surely God must have been in a fine mood when he created HIM. His exploit shook the world, his songs passed down from generation to generation as though they were sung mere days ago. Should we talk about his humanitarian works to those who needed help or his selfless love for people, especially children? Alas! he never did grow up, just like peter pan. He was beloved by all and sundry and yet …. even the most loved still has enemies.

It is human nature to seek to smear those who others deem to favoured and to prey on their perceived weakness. For Michael, it was his unending love for children that brought him the most pains and his gradual change which most people never knew the reason, but he was besmirched for it. As I write this, I feel his pain and can hear his paper-thin voice as he denied those allegations brought upon him. Let’s be honest he was preyed on because some people could not withstand his greatness

He was not a man without flaws as nobody was born perfect. He was not without his share of pains, sorrows and joy because what man doesn’t experience those? But through all his trials, and he had a lot as a man, a father and a musician, he still blessed us with his goodness, talent and his soft as the wind voice (my personal favourite)

Michael’s fame was so all encompassing that almost everyone failed to see the man behind it all. The pain in his eyes, the loneliness that he must have felt at times and the fact that some cruel allegations that wasn’t even true nearly destroyed a career that took him 38 years to build. Though I saw him through the eyes of the media and loved him as all his fans do, I never forgot he was a man too. Apparently “sweet and childlike” as a personal comment from his interviewers go. I guess that’s why the hurt got to him more than usual as no one gets hurt quickly and deeply as a child.

He died alone as every man would and no one knew what went on during his last moments. With tears in my eyes and gratefulness to be alive when this legend passed through the world, let’s take a moment to appreciate the life of a man whose life blessed the world. His legacy that lives on would be passed to generations yet unborn.

I LOVE YOU, MICHAEL- AS THERE IS NO GREATER WORD THAN THE LOVE OF ANOTHER PERSON.

FROM ONE OF YOUR BELOVED FANS
